| London’s Not An Animal first appeared on our radar a few years ago, and has since put out quality releases by Man Power, Ian Blevins and Thomas Gandey. They now introduce Vilnius by way of Saint Petersburg disco producer Alexander Pletnev aka Ponty Mython onto the label, who returns for his first release in two years. ‘Onimano X991’ is a bleepy and hypnotic oddball groove of the more low slung variety, that’s quite unlike anything else we’ve heard from Pletnev before. This is followed by DJ Fett Burger’s Time In Atmosphere mix, which injects a breaks-driven shuffle into the track and is equally of good value. |
